Because the laboratory and the production floor are at the same address, a formulation moves from sampling to production without leaving the building, and revisions during development do not wait on overseas shipping.
What the site is certified to do
Under HSA GMP (Cosmetic Products) certificate MCGM2500160, the site is certified to manufacture:
- Cosmetic products as external liquid preparations
- Cosmetic products as external semi-solid preparations
The certification applies to the whole manufacturing chain for these products:
- Receipt of materials
- Production
- Packaging
- Labelling
- Quality control
- Release
- Storage
- Distribution
In practice this means creams, lotions, gels, serums, toners, cleansers, masks, shampoos, conditioners and similar cosmetic products. See the product categories for what we manufacture.
Quality system
The site operates under the Health Sciences Authority's Good Manufacturing Practice guidelines for manufacturers of cosmetic products, which encompass the GMP recommendations of the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive. Audit and conformity assessment performed by the Health Sciences Authority from 29 July 2024 to 31 July 2024. The certificate took effect on 29 July 2024 and, unless revoked, expires on 28 July 2027.
Quality control covers incoming materials, in-process checks and finished goods before release. The quality control page describes the steps; the certifications page gives the certificate in full and explains how to verify it with the HSA.
What is not made here
- Medicinal or therapeutic products, biologicals, and preparations containing cytotoxic substances, cephalosporins, penicillins, hormones or steroids are outside the scope of this certificate.
- The certificate is a statement of the manufacturing quality system standard, not an endorsement of any individual product. Cosmetic products still require separate notification to the HSA before they are placed on the Singapore market.
Product notification
GMP certification is a statement about the manufacturing quality system, not an approval of any individual product. Every cosmetic product placed on the Singapore market must be notified to the HSA separately. We prepare that documentation as part of regulatory support.
