Creams, emulsions and moisturisers
Creams and moisturisers manufactured by Celcode in Singapore: day and night creams, lotions, eye creams and barrier-support ranges, with formulation notes.
Celcode manufactures creams, lotions and emulsions as custom or ready formulations: day and night moisturisers, eye creams, rich repair creams, light gel-creams for humid climates, body lotions and post-procedure barrier-support products. These are emulsions, so the formulation work centres on the emulsifier system that keeps oil and water phases stable, the emollients that set the feel, and the actives carried in each phase.

Formulation considerations
- Emulsion stability. The emulsifier system must hold the oil and water phases together across temperature cycles for the product’s shelf life; this is the core of stability testing for creams.
- Feel and finish. Emollient choice sets richness, slip and finish; whipped or aerated creams give a lighter feel from a rich base.
- Actives in two phases. Water-soluble actives go in the water phase, oil-soluble actives in the oil phase; the emulsion allows both in one product.
- Attributes. Paraben-free, silicone-free, vegan-friendly and suitable for Halal consumers are confirmed per formulation; fragrance-free options for sensitive-skin and post-procedure products.
- Climate. Products for Singapore and ASEAN are sampled for feel in heat and humidity.
Packaging
Jars and airless jars, tubes, airless pumps and pump bottles for lotions. Air-sensitive actives call for airless systems. See packaging and branding.
Testing and compliance
Creams are stability-tested in their packaging with temperature cycling to confirm the emulsion holds, controlled for microbial quality under the GMP quality system, and notified to the HSA before sale in Singapore (regulatory support).
How to brief a cream or moisturiser
State the skin type, day or night use, the richness you want, any actives, whether it must be fragrance-free, and the packaging. Choose “Cream, emulsion or moisturiser” in the product brief.
Frequently asked questions
Cream, lotion or gel-cream - which should I choose?
Lotions are lighter and pourable; creams are richer and opaque; gel-creams combine a gel's fresh feel with some emollients. Daytime products in a humid climate lean to lotions and gel-creams; night and repair products lean to creams. The brief and the target customer decide, and texture is confirmed in sampling.
Can a cream be made without parabens or silicones?
Yes. Paraben-free preservation and silicone-free emollient systems are common requests and are confirmed per formulation; the feel of a silicone-free cream is adjusted during sampling.
Why are jars a concern for some creams?
Jars expose the product to air and repeated finger contact, which challenges preservation and can degrade air-sensitive actives. Airless jars or tubes are used where the formulation needs protection.
