Formulating for a clinical setting
- Higher levels of actives, carefully balanced. Medical doctors often ask for formulations with a high dosage of actives. These require careful testing and balance during development so that the product is effective, stable and tolerable, and stays within regulatory limits.
- Post-procedure tolerance. Products used after treatments are formulated fragrance-free and low-irritant, with hydration and barrier-support actives such as the hyper hyaluronic matrix and Hydra Survivor (hydration solutions).
- Protocol fit. Each product is designed for its point in the treatment sequence, so the professional and retail products work together.
- Evidence. Actives are selected on supplier data and formulated on Celcode’s own testing; claims for the finished product are substantiated before use (testing).
Positioning a clinic range
A clinic’s range carries the practice’s authority, so the products, textures and packaging are developed to match the standard of the treatments. Celcode supports packaging selection and branding and reviews labels so that claims are accurate and within cosmetic scope, which protects the clinic’s reputation as much as its compliance.
Regulatory position
Products for clinics are cosmetic products. They must comply with the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive and be notified to the HSA by the company placing them on the market; Celcode prepares the documentation and advises on claim wording (regulatory support). Celcode’s site is certified for cosmetic manufacture and does not manufacture medicinal or therapeutic products.
