Formulation considerations
- Surfactant system. Decides cleansing, foam, mildness and sulfate-free status for shampoos.
- Conditioning. Cationic conditioning agents, oils and film-formers set detangling, slip and shine.
- Scalp actives. Delivered in tonics and serums that stay on the scalp; the base is chosen for spreading and non-greasy feel (textures and formats).
- Attributes. Sulfate-free, paraben-free, vegan-friendly and suitable for Halal consumers, confirmed per formulation.
- Cosmetic scope. Dandruff and hair-loss products are formulated and worded within cosmetic claims (regulatory support).
Packaging
Pump and flip-top bottles for shampoos and conditioners, tubes and jars for masks, nozzle applicators and droppers for scalp tonics and serums, jars for waxes. See packaging and branding.
Testing and compliance
Hair products are stability-tested in their packaging, controlled for microbial quality under the GMP quality system, and notified to the HSA before sale in Singapore with documentation prepared by Celcode.
How to brief a hair or scalp product
State the concern, the format, the hair type, whether it must be sulfate-free, and the packaging. Choose “Haircare and scalp care” in the product brief. The haircare manufacturing page describes the service in full.
Frequently asked questions
Which hair products can be sulfate-free?
Shampoos and cleansing conditioners can be formulated sulfate-free (SLS/SLES-free) with milder surfactant systems. Foam and cleansing feel differ from sulfate systems and are adjusted in sampling.
Are scalp tonics for hair loss cosmetics?
Cosmetic scalp products clean, condition and keep the scalp and hair in good condition, and may support the appearance of fuller hair. Claims to treat hair loss as a condition are outside cosmetic scope. Wording is set at the regulatory check.
Can Celcode make children's shampoo?
Yes. Children's and babies' shampoos are formulated with the mildest ingredient choices, hypoallergenic and stable components, and gentle surfactant systems.
